Best 3 Wheel Pushchairs

All-terrain pushchair with lightweight durability and great maneuverability. Its compact one-hand fold makes it's easy to transport and also freestanding when folded. The cushioned seat reclines into an almost flat position and there's a large canopy and storage bin. The suitability for newborns is yes and with a separate carrycot (not suitable for sleeping overnight).

A good suspension with air-filled tires will allow you navigate through rough terrain. You can also use it for jogging. But, you should wait until your baby is at minimum 6 or 9 months old.

Ickle Bubba Air

This lightweight pushchair by Ickle Bubba has a lot of features that parents will love. It comes as a travel system, which includes a lie-flat carrycot for newborns, a multi-position forward and rear-facing pushchair seat and a selection of a group 0+ car seat, meaning you can get everything you need in one package.

The XL Air is a very impressive buggy. It's easy to understand why it's earned such high marks from customers. It's incredibly light - both the wheels and chassis weigh just 6.5kg - and it's also super-easy to construct. I was able to get it up and running in less than five minutes. That's amazing considering that it included the fabric for the carrycot to be attached.

The seat is large and comfortable for Annie who is 12 months old. The recline lever was simple to operate. There's plenty of room in the basket and I like the fact that it has a zip-up pocket in the handle bar so that you can keep your phone and keys safe!

The only slight downside is that the handlebar is low, which could be a problem for taller parents. But, it's covered in a lovely leather-like material that's soft and comfy and wipes down easily, meaning it's still a breeze to push with bags and children on your hands!

Hauck Pushchair Runner

The Runner is designed for athletic parents who want to go out and explore. The large pneumatic wheels are designed to be used on forest and field trails, and the front wheel can be swivelled and locked to give you more flexibility. It also has a padded 5-point safety harness as well as a front bar to ensure your child is secure on all journeys while the parking brake reliably prevents the stroller from moving when you are taking a break. The comfortable seat is easy to lower to a lying position and the canopy can be opened to allow to allow for maximum air circulation on hot days. The handle can be adjusted by more than 30 cm to accommodate dad or mum's heights.

The Runner will accompany you on your next adventure whether it's a leisurely run, a more strenuous hike, or a long-distance walk. It has a fully-flat lay-flat seat with suspension air wheels to ensure smooth and comfortable riding. The front wheel can be locked to provide more stability on narrow streets and overcrowded sidewalks and the stroller folds up easily to fit into car boots and storage spaces.

Some parents have reported that the Runner 2 to be a little more difficult to navigate than its predecessor and the locking mechanism is less user-friendly (requiring two buttons on the opposite side of the push bar). The handlebars are a bit higher than some competitors, and therefore may not be suitable for taller parents. However the stroller is durable and adaptable and should be considered for families with active children.

Red Kite Push Me pacing

Red Kite's Pace is a fantastic product from the affordable British brand. They are known for their clean, well-designed products that are essential to parents. It's their latest and most expensive addition to their stroller line that is a bargain and lightweight. Like the Ickle Bubba Aurora or Yoyo it's car seat compatible so it can be used from birth.

The new Pace comes with some amazing design features such as a rose-gold tint on the hood, chassis and stroller trims that really set it apart.  3 wheel buggy  and stroller fabrics are stylish in grey, tan, and cream. You can also add the handle in leather and the bumper bar to complement.

It's suitable for babies up to a max weight of 22kg. The stroller seat converts easily from a carrycot to a 2-in-1 reversible mode, parent or world-facing. The stroller seat has multi lie back positions, softly padded leg rests and an extended sun canopy that has concealed zip sections, viewing through flaps and an adjustable sun visor.

What's more, when it's folded, the Pace measures 56 x 43 x 32cm which is enough to qualify as hand luggage with Easyjet and Ryanair, among other airlines. Two buttons on either side are easy use and click to lock it in the right position.

Bugaboo Fox 5

Bugaboo's Fox 5 is designed to be the ultimate, all-terrain stroller. Its unique chassis, coupled with a shorter wheel-distance makes it more agile than its predecessor. I tried it with my two children one of whom is eight weeks old and the other toddler - on rough pavements as well as grassy wooded paths and even cobblestones.

The large puncture-proof wheels, which measure 22cm or 30cm in size - can handle different terrains. The wheels have an opening that can be opened or closed to let more air in when required. It's a little larger than some pushchairs but doesn't feel heavy or bulky when you're pushing it across bumpy surfaces.

The fabric of the seat is machine washable and the frame and faux leather grips are simple to clean. It's also a lot quieter than other pushchairs, and I felt safe using it in busy city streets. It comes with accessory points that allow you to attach parasols and footmuffs and also changing bags, snack trays, and even snack trays. The hood can be used to block out rain and wind, but it's not waterproof. It's a single pram but you can attach their Comfort Wheeled Board (not included) to give your child more leg room. The bassinet took 20 minutes to set-up and about the same amount of time to convert it into an actual seat.

UPPAbaby Ridge

No matter if you're enjoying an early morning run under the stars or taking a moonlit stroll in the crisp air, the UPPAbaby Ridge turns every moment into a fun experience for all. This all-terrain stroller was designed to keep you and the child engaged.

The massive 12" and 16" foam-filled tires give you a smooth ride, no matter the terrain. The suspension technology is patent-pending, allowing you to glide along woodland paths with minimal impact on your child's legs and rear. The durable hand brake with a performance disc allows you to stop quickly, even while jogging downhill.

The Ridge is at home in all city scenes including bustling farmers' markets to street musicians performing music. Its large basket is big enough to hold your shopping cart and all of your baby's essentials while the large canopy offers sun and wind protection. The canopy on the front can be opened to reveal two mesh peekaboos that permit you to monitor your baby.

The Ridge's reversible seat allows you to decide whether your child will face the world in front of them or you, and its simple foot brake system is a breeze for new parents. The reversible handlebar is a wonderful feature that allows you to adjust it to your height. In contrast to other strollers for jogging the Ridge folds stable and stays upright when folded.

iCandy Core

The new iCandy pushchair is packed with features that will be awe-inspiring to parents. It comes with a multi-mode wheelbase as well as an LED Visibility Hub light, which is the first of its kind in the market. It has a built-in Ride-on board that helps reduce future costs, and allows tired toddlers to accompany the family during outings.

The Core can be bought in a single unit or as a complete travel system. it is compatible with the most popular car seats from brands such as Cybex, Maxi Cosi and Joie. It also has the biggest seat in the iCandy range, meaning it will last you through your baby's first years and beyond. Like all iCandy pushchairs, this one is luxuriously constructed and comes with premium knitted jersey fabrics. The parent's adjustable handlebar and child's detachable bumper bar are made from soft leatherette, and the folding calf support folds away and is very comfortable for children.

I was impressed with how easy it was to fold and collapse. It only requires one hand, even with the seat unit in place. It fits easily in your car or hallway, making it ideal for travel. The iCandy Core includes a variety of accessories, such as a matching changing rucksack or liner/footmuff.
